About Margaret Suanne Bone

Margaret Suanne Bone has served as Executive Director of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (TACDL) for the past three years. TACDL is a non-profit statewide bar association that provides education and training for Tennessee lawyers who represent citizens charged with criminal activity. In her position as Executive Director, Margaret Suanne Bone coordinates all activities for the Association – including training sessions, executive meetings and seminars. Margaret Suanne Bone is one of only two lobbyists active in the Association.

Margaret Suanne Bone also serves as lead publisher and editor of the Association’s newsletter, For the Defense. She also manages the weekly dissemination of The Weekly Writ, TACDL’s online newsletter and handles external and internal communication duties as needed. To support the administrative efforts of the Association, Margaret Suanne Bone prints, organizes and distributes mail and legal materials for all members.

Margaret Suanne Bone keeps busy in her spare time. She is a Deacon and greeter at the First Presbyterian Church in Lebanon, where she has attended for many years. As one of her numerous volunteer endeavors, Margaret Suanne Bone was involved with the Habitat for Humanity Build in 2011, a project sponsored by her church. Margaret Suanne Bone also participates in the church’s Cedar Forest Ministry, a regular event that takes place at Cedars of Lebanon State Park in Lebanon.

Margaret Suanne Bone holds active membership at both the Lebanon/Wilson County Chamber of Commerce and the Lebanon Breakfast Rotary Club. Her other interests include running, cooking and playing piano, as well as spending quality time with her nephews and nieces. Suanne Bone and her family remain active in the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America as a show of support for her brother who lives with Crohn’s Disease. Suanne Bone has completed two half marathons to raise funds and awareness for the disease.
